Model Building
Interests
Plastic model building has been a hobby of mine since I was ten years old. I spent some time in college with it, and have gone back to it in the last few years. I enjoy building military vehicles, ships and spacecaft, both real and fictional. No collection would be complete without airplanes as well. I especially enjoy outfitting the models with figures and equipment.
I build in all scales--1/72 scale military and science fiction, 1/35 scale armor, 1/48 scale planes and armor, and 1/200 and 1/100 scale space craft. I have also built 1/200 and 1/350 scale ships. I look for kits with interior detail. I use the kit parts, but often scratch build additional detail. I have done a few 1/24 scale vehicles as well.
I also enjoy building small dioramas to display the models.
